Abstract

The Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model emphasizes the connection between learning materials and real-life contexts. The purpose of this study is to analyze research trends related to the CTL learning model in elementary schools through a bibliometric analysis of bibliographic data from research articles indexed in Google Scholar, combined with a distribution analysis of bibliometric maps using VOSviewer software. The research data were obtained from the Google Scholar database using the reference management application Publish or Perish. The data filtering process was conducted using the keywords CTL and Elementary School, found in the title, keywords, and abstract. The search targeted articles published between 2021 and 2025, resulting in 15 relevant articles. The findings indicate that topics such as contextual learning strategy, approach, and critical thinking skill are dominant in scientific publications. However, topics like everyday life and lesson study are still rarely explored. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is great potential to further develop research on the CTL model in elementary schools, particularly those integrated with real-life contexts and teacher collaboration. This study is expected to provide references and guidance for future research development in the field of contextual learning in elementary education.
