ANALISIS BIBLIOMETRIK: MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY LEARNING

Abstract

The Discovery Learning model emphasizes active student involvement in constructing concepts through independent exploration, observation, and problem-solving. This study aims to analyze trends, relationships, and frequently appearing keywords in scientific studies related to the Discovery Learning model at the elementary school level using a bibliometric approach. The method employed is bibliometric analysis using VOS viewer software by reviewing 15 selected national scientific articles obtained through systematic search. The visualization results indicate that keywords such as discovery learning, learning outcomes, mathematics, and critical thinking skills are dominant and strongly interconnected across publications. The analyzed articles generally demonstrate that this model positively impacts students’ learning outcomes and critical thinking skills while enhancing their engagement in the learning process, particularly in Mathematics and Science. The findings also reveal that most studies are still concentrated on learning outcomes, with limited exploration into integrating Discovery Learning within the independent curriculum context and 21st-century skills development. Therefore, the model remains relevant to be further developed as an adaptive and contextual learning strategy in modern education.
