This study aims to analyze how a Team Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model can help improve elementary school students' cooperation and understanding of subject matter. This study uses a qualitative approach through library studies by examining various relevant sources. Studies show that learning by the TGT model makes students more active, collaborating with friends, and easier to understand material because the learning process is done in a fun way and involves structured play. In addition, this model also helps create a supportive and competitive learning atmosphere in a healthy manner. Therefore, TGT can be an appropriate learning strategy to support the Free Curriculum, which encourages active learning and according to students' needs.
