Analisis model pembelajaran problem based learning di sekolah dasar: Analisis bibliometrik

This study aims to map the development of research on the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in elementary schools during the 2020–2025 period. The method used is bibliometric analysis assisted by the Publish or Perish software and VOSviewer. Data were collected from the Google Scholar database using the keyword "Problem Based Learning in elementary school," resulting in 15 selected articles. Metadata from these articles were exported in .ris and .csv formats for analysis of keyword networks, density, and temporal distribution. The mapping results identified three major clusters. The first cluster focuses on student engagement and critical thinking skills, emphasizing PBL as a learner-centered instructional strategy. The second cluster relates to implementation cycles and learning outcomes, highlighting the importance of systematic PBL stages and measurable competency achievements. The third cluster represents the conceptual and philosophical foundations of PBL in primary education. Most publications appeared in 2021, indicating increased research interest during the transitional period of education amid the pandemic. The average number of authors per article is three, reflecting a dominant trend of collaborative research. These findings affirm PBL’s effectiveness in fostering student independence, collaboration, and higher-order thinking skills, while also identifying practical challenges related to teacher readiness, time constraints, and limited resources. This study is expected to serve as a reference for educators and researchers in designing contextual and sustainable PBL implementation in Indonesia.
